The Man Engine Resurrection Tour 2018

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL QUERIES

Question: Where can I buy tickets to see the Man Engine?

Please visit www.manenginetickets.com and select the event you wish to attend. Alternatively, call 01209 240143. Currently tickets are on sale for Afternooner and Afterdarker Events at Geevor, Heartlands, Lostwithiel, Tavistock and Radstock. Information about ticketing for other venues will be available from January 2018.

Question: How much are tickets?

At the moment, all tickets are flat rate Earlybird Tickets at £5 (+ £1 booking fee) for everyone aged 4 years old and over (0-3 year olds are free to attend). When Earlybird expires, tickets go up to pre-Event standard prices (with concession tickets available), then On-The-Day standard prices (with concession tickets available). All tickets incur a £1 booking fee.

Question: Can I buy tickets on the door?

Yes, if there is availability. If the event has sold out, that information will be posted on www.manenginetickets.com before the event. Please note, prices for On-the-Day tickets are higher than Standard tickets.

Question: I want to know more about the Wales/Shropshire tour?

The Wales tour is funded by Visit Wales and managed by specific Local Authorities. More information to follow, with links from the Man Engine website later.

Question: When will tickets be announced for Shropshire, Yorkshire, and Wales?

Keep an eye on the Man Engine website – tickets, where required, will be announced from January 2018.

Will the Man Engine make an appearance, whatever the weather?

It would take exceptional weather conditions to prevent The Man Engine from making an appearance. Some elements of the programme require clement weather conditions and it may be necessary for the Organisers to vary the programme in the event of poor weather conditions. In the unlikely event that extreme conditions force the Event not to take place and is cancelled prior to the day of the Event, then we will look to either reschedule your attendance to another scheduled Event venue, or the ticket holder shall be entitled to a full refund of the Ticket price. Please see Terms and Conditions.

DISABILITY ACCESS

We are working to make The Man Engine events as accessible as possible. However, these are outdoor events in sometimes green field locations that could pose problems for mobility (particularly in wet weather). There are large volumes of people and loud noise levels to take into consideration.

Free tickets will be provided for carers and personal assistants for standard adult ticket holders with physical and mental difficulties. For those with child and teen tickets, a free carer or personal assistant ticket shall also be provided free of charge, but the child or teen must be accompanied by a paying adult ticket holder (such adult ticket holder may be the carer or personal assistant).

We will be offering the following for disabled customers

  • Accessible toilets.
  • Viewing area within the Main Event Area.
  • Limited disabled parking (you will need to have your blue badge on display).
  • Stewards to help with any difficulties that may arise during your visit.

Please call Support on 01209 240143 to book your tickets and apply for your free carer or personal assistant ticket. You might need to show a copy of your current DLA letter or copies of appropriate supportive medical documentation for qualification when entering the Event.

If you have any other accessibility queries, please email support@tickethive.co.uk.

EVENT QUERIES

Question: Do you get the same experience with an Earlybird ticket as a Standard full ticket?

Yes! It is the same event, and the same experience.

Question: Can I bring alcohol to the Event?

No! Alcohol will not be allowed to be brought into the Event venue. You will be able to purchase alcohol from licenced vendors on the Event venue premises. Non-alcoholic drinks are acceptable, but no glass containers are allowed. For security reasons, all bags brought into the venue might be subject to searches.

Question: Will food be available to purchase on-site?

Yes, there will be food outlets within the site compound. If you have dietary requirements or a food allergy, please check with food traders before eating and they will be able to advise.

Question: Can I bring a picnic to the Event?

Yes, you can bring food and non-alcoholic drinks into the Event site. Alcohol will not be allowed to be brought in. You will be able to purchase alcohol from licenced vendors on the Event venue premises. Glass is not allowed. For security reasons, all bags brought into the venue might be subject to searches.

Question: Can I bring a BBQ?

No! No naked flames will be allowed within the Event site. For security reasons, all bags brought into the venue might be subject to searches.

Question: Can I bring my pet dog?

As much as we love dogs, things would get a little chaotic if every man and his dog came along. So, we’ve decided the dogs (or any other pets) must stay at home. Guide and assistance dogs are, of course, welcome. Can we ask you don’t leave pets in the cars.

Question: Can you smoke on-site?

There will be a designated smoking area. However, other than the designated area, smoking will not be permitted in the Event venue.

Question: Are there cashpoints on-site?

No. Currently, there are no plans for there to be temporary cashpoints.

TICKET TECHNICALS

Question: Can I use screenshots of the tickets to get in?

Ideally printed, but we can scan off mobile phones. To make life easier for our scanners on the gate, and because mobile signal coverage might be weak or non-existent in some locations, it would be helpful to have the tickets downloaded and saved to the device. It would also be helpful to have the device’s brightness on full so the scanners pick up the barcodes more quickly, and ensure a smoother experience.

Question: Help! My ticket won’t download, or it says it’s a virus?

If you are experiencing problems with downloading your tickets, please get in touch with our Support team either on 01209 240143 or at support@tickethive.co.uk. There is no blanket answer due to the ranging products and the various security settings they can be set to. However, our support team can speak to you directly to try and help, and if necessary, issue tickets manually via email.

Question: I’ve tried to purchase tickets but the site hasn’t confirmed them? The money has left my account but I still haven’t received anything?

Please call the Support Team on 01209 240143, or email support@tickethive.co.uk. They will endeavour to help.

Question: Will it matter if it is not my name on the ticket?

No. Proof of name will not be required.

Question: Can I have my tickets sent to me directly?

Yes, our Support Team can provide this service at an additional administrative cost of £1. Please contact Support on 01209 240143 or at support@tickethive.co.uk, and they will be able to process your tickets via Standard Rate mail.

Question: I have a specific query and/or request

If you a special request, please call the Support Team on 01209 240143, or email support@tickethive.co.uk. They will endeavour to help.
